Casting processes

Three moulding routes cover parts from 0.01 kg to heavy castings over 7 m long. Pick the process by weight, size and batch, or send the drawing and we will recommend one.

Which process do I need?

Three questions narrow it down. If you are unsure, send the drawing.

1

Series and weight

Parts under 250 kg in series usually suit automatic moulding. Heavier parts and single pieces go to hand moulding.

2

Surface and tolerance

Small parts with a fine surface and tight tolerances suit investment casting, from 0.01 kg.

3

Tooling cost

Automatic lines repay the pattern over volume. Hand moulding keeps tooling cost low on one-offs and short runs.
