Which materials can you cast?

Accepted Answer

Grey iron EN-GJL-200 and EN-GJL-250 (EN 1561); ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18 (LT/RT), 450-10, 500-7, 600-3 and 700-2 (EN 1563); whiteheart malleable iron EN-GJMW-400-5, 450-5 and 360-12 (EN 1562); carbon, low-alloy and high-alloy cast steels. By lost-wax casting we also cast aluminium and copper alloys.

What is the maximum casting weight and size?

Accepted Answer

Automatic DISAMATIC lines cast parts from 0.10 to 47 kg and HWS lines up to 250 kg. Hand moulding handles castings up to 7500 × 1900 × 2000 mm, and steel and iron castings up to 12,000 kg are produced at Huta Małapanew. Lost-wax castings range from 0.01 to 5 kg.

Which dimensional tolerances do you achieve?

Castings from the DISAMATIC lines are made to PN-ISO 8062 CT9 to CT11. Lost-wax investment castings are made to PN-ISO 8062 CT5 to CT6.

Question 4

Can you machine the castings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. More than 50 CNC machines handle turning from Ø10 to Ø450 mm and machining on centres up to 1200 × 600 × 300 mm, with CMM inspection. Heat and thermochemical treatment and automatic water-based painting are also available.

Which certifications do the foundries hold?

Accepted Answer

Odlewnia Zawiercie works to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001. Huta Małapanew holds approvals from LR, BV, PRS and DNV for pressure and marine castings, DB approval for railway parts and PED certification. Certificates are available on request.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our sales team organises guided visits to the plants. Mention it in your request and we will propose dates.
