Grey iron is easy to machine, damps vibration well and casts reliably in complex shapes. Typical parts are machine-tool beds, housings, valve bodies and brake and rail parts.
Series parts up to 250 kg are cast on automatic lines. Large and single parts are hand moulded.
EN-GJL-250 is the usual choice where higher strength is needed. Send the drawing and we will confirm.
